biography

I was born and brought up in Linz, Austria. After my graduation I studied music therapy at the University for Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. I passed the master of arts for vocal pedagogic with distinction. One semester I spent in the Conservatorio Arrigo Boito in Parma, Italy. The focus there was on the Belcanto technique, the Belcanto repertoire and the Italian phonetics. With the Erasmus exchange programme I was also in Denmark and in Norway, where I also profited from the profound knowledge and the high standard technique in vocal pedagogic of my colleagues. Since I have finished my studies I have worked a lot with teachers of international reputation, like KS (Kammersänger) Kurt Equiluz, Prof. Kurt Widmer, KS Hilde Zadek, Univ.Prof Eva Blahova, Univ.Prof. Adelheid Hornich, O.Univ.Prof. Mag. Wolfgang Holzmair, Margreet Honig, Prof. Margit und Gerd Fussi.

My artistic career started as a singer in the Arnold Schönberg Choir: some of my most memorable experiences were participating in concerts and CD recordings with conductors like Nikolaus Harnoncourt and Claudio Abbado. During my solo career as an alto/mezzosoprano I have sung the solo parts in, for example, Antonio Vivaldi Nisi Dominus, G.F. Händel Messiah, J. S. Bach Johannespassion, Magnificat, Weihnachtsoratorium, in cantatas like Vergnügte Ruh, beliebte Seelenlust,W.A. Mozart Requiem and in masses by Mozart, Haydn, Schubert….

In opera productions I have interpreted Orfeo,Gluck, Dorabella, Cosi fan tutte, Zweite Dame, Zauberflöte, Mignon, A.Thomas and Orlofsky, Fledermaus, Maddalena, Rigoletto. I have performed many concerts in Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Italy.

I am also a fan of the French chanson and love to sing the repertoireof Edith Piaf, Jacques Brel...

After a ten year break because of health issues I celebrated my comeback with the CD Oberwind, which was published in 2012 with the italian pianist Filippo Farinelli.
